Cyanotype PORTRAITS
I’ve always been interested in Portraits since I start taking pictures, especially the people taking some critical part of my life. I have been taking a lot of portraits for years, and I began to deconstruct portrait photography. I tried various portrait photography types such as gum oil printing, tintype printing, developing photographic paper with a painting brush etc. However, In my opinion, none of them give the feeling of “someone was or still is part of your life.” If one can pick the right paper, chemicals and brush, it’s an extraordinary feeling to wash the photographic paper and get the picture. The brush stamps are making the pictures alive like painting mixing with photography. It gives a feeling that the image is from even the 19th century.
